Large-scale Moscow's Strikes Eliminate Power Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused blackouts in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in eastern districts were experienced blackouts and dealt with problems to water systems, per reports from city officials.

Simultaneously, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"The necessity is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, European nations and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and applying penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles attacked the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck power facilities and apartment buildings in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the strikes on the city have been transported for medical care, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Local officials said the city experienced intense attacks overnight. A minor lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The attacks follow periods of aerial attacks in the region, portions of which remain under the control of Russian forces.

The entire country is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with strikes already impacting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
